Spring is in the air!
Not here though. It's a grim day and it hasn't stopped raining all day! First time that's happened for a while - at least the plants will get a good soaking.
A real EB today - I opened the window and spotted this polyanthus in flower, the only one in two bread crates of similar plants! I wonder what set that one off! Not as sharp as I would like, but It's rather blown up.
Spent a lot of time writing up my London walks. This time it's about my visit to the garden on Bankside, in London. This came about through having read the book 'The House by the Thames', by Gillian Tindall. I corresponded with her for a while a few years ago, so wrote again today to tell her of my welcome at the house she wrote about. She's 87 and apparently not very well, so I do hope I hear from her. For anyone interested in London micro-history I can recommend her book - or others as she's written quite a few.
