Pesto!

The first basil harvest of the season - the scent is divine. I trimmed off the stems, washed it, dried it, ground it into a paste. I didn't have all the ingredients to finish the pesto but didn't want the basil to go brown, so I made pre-pesto: added fresh garlic cloves (from the garden), olive oil, and salt. 

Extra: my jar and label might give Laurie pause when she opens the fridge. (BOOGS = basil, olive oil, garlic, salt).
