Silver washed fritillary

This morning F and I went for a walk as the sun was shining and rain not expected until later.

I was pleased to see a male Silver washed fritillary which was then joined by female.  They were very interested in each other then dropped down into the undergrowth. They were lovely to see. 

We were just in time as the rain started as we got back to the car.
