The Seagull’s Watch

Some of you hoped that I would post more of the BookBenches, which are the Clan Cancer Appeal sculptures that are dotted around various locations in the north-east of Scotland this summer.  I have seen a few more Aberdeen which I will post in due course.

I saw this one in Peterhead today.  It overlooks the entrance to the harbour.  Ali Elly, who hails from Northumberland, painted this BookBench.  She describes herself as an environmental artist who is deeply inspired by the seas and oceans.  Her signature style is defined by her passion for the colour blue, which she says breathes life and depth in every one of her works of art.

The extra shows the artwork on the back of the bench.
