Weekend Challenge: Summer Flowers

Common Mallow with watercolour pencils.

This had to be quick. It was for the college weekend challenge. I have been on holiday and had just got back. This was growing in my garden when I got home. I quickly sketched it out and outlined it for speed. I selected just a few colours in watercolour pencil. I scribbled the pencils on my little palette and activated them with water before quickly dropping onto the paper.

I kept my sketch and photographed my plant composition for future use. When I have more time, I'd like to redo it in more detail.
