River Deben Gig row

An absolutely amazing day rowing the river Deben, it was horrific weather at times but with great people it didn’t dampen our spirits.

We started at Woodbridge,  rowed to 2 pubs (1 visited twice as the wind and rain lashed us, so we took shelter). We also opted to go for a walk to a beautiful Church, foraged carrots, sugar plums and blackberries slipped over in mud and had a warming cuppa. We spotted a friendly seal, curlew, oyster catchers, buzard, sand martins. With the rain clouds clearing in the afternoon, and the wind and tide in our favour, we zoomed back to the Woodbridge slip.

We laughed we rowed we drank and we had an absolute blast. Feeling thankful to the team of rowers who made it all possible.
