Woke up Sunday morning...

...and had a lazy few hours watching Paul McCartney's 1980s film Give my regards to Broad Street. Apparently a flop at the box office, it was harmless enough, fun, not at all serious, starred a fabulous customised Ford Pop, and the soundtrack was enjoyable so there.

The early afternoon was spent going for a bite to eat at a local garden centre restaurant to celebrate eldest's Graduation with my Dad. Was nice too & we all enjoyed what we had. Afterwards we had a browse at the plants (right blip of a nice looking Ptilotus Exaltatus Joey - left blip of youngest photobombing an Alstromeria).

After returning home and fancying some fresh air, eldest offered to come along so we went for a cycle along the Apethorne Link path to the Peak Forest Canal. The water took us to Ashton, turning right onto the Huddersfield Narrow to Stalybridge and home via Gorse Hall & the golf course. Was lovely with some refreshing light rain part way through and mostly peaceful along the 'cut.

Later still I tried on a couple of things bought from the garden centre clothing dept. An oversized top was a keeper, but the summery cotton maxi dress unfortunately was too long. Bestie is going to try it out thanks to the b****y mileage busting postal service and if it works for her, she will look lovely in it & I will be jealous ;-D
