Busy day
It's been another getting-things-done day! Thankfully, there was time to have an unhurried start to the day.
Our first stop was at the Park office, where we met Henry. He was cordial and promised to get back to us about what lies ahead with regard to staying on-park. If anyone knows of a good bring-on park, please let me know! :))
The next stop was a Royal Mail holding centre where an item I ordered from Amazon had ended up. Googlemaps said the place is open until 12 PM (!!!), but when we got there, we discovered that they work from 8-10 AM most mornings. How is this even possible?!
We moved on to Guildford town centre. G wanted the post office, and I wanted to ask O2 why their signal is so appalling. I've never known it to be so bad. We didn't have much luck in either place, so we went into M&S for some lunch. I have to say, I have come away with a gorgeous blue hoodie. :)))
We called in at Shere Post Office to return an item to Amazon. While there, I discovered that an individual Magnum ice cream costs £2.70, but a pack of 3 costs £2.75. No prizes for guessing what I bought.
By this time, I was fairly agitated with how things were going, so I was determined not to waste time. I had a mental list of things that I wanted to tackle. The first was to clean the outside box that houses the washing machine. The spiders and other pests have had a heyday not being disturbed since last summer. Today, they were all evicted. Anything left was vacuumed.
My blip is of the BBQ that we bought when I was last here, in 2019. I'm so glad we bought a cover for it, as it was easier for G to bring it back to what it should look like. It still took her an hour! And the correct light bulbs finally arrived for the PIR light. I immediately put one in, but it still doesn't work. Argh. The only thing I haven't got to is a drawer that houses tools and spare parts for various things. Two days of remote working from tomorrow... :(
