Tall Ships Race Aberdeen 2025

Today we visited the Tall Ships Race in Aberdeen. I used to sail as a volunteer watch leader with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland on board Alba Explorer and other OYT boats, so was pleased to be able to go onboard and chat with the skipper and crew who are about to take the boat with its young crew to Norway next week. It was great to chat to old friends from my voyages. What a great organisation!

In the 1st extra is James Cook, the yellow boat in which I sailed in  a Tall Ship's Race as a watch leader to Denmark back in 2007 with OYT. The second extra is to show that there were a lot of really tall ships there in Aberdeen today too.
