Steam Rally

We went over to Much Marcle Steam Rally today. We had a heavy thunderstorm on the way over & questioned our sanity in going but the rain held off for most of the day with just one heavy storm late afternoon.
This is BiL R’s model steam engine that he exhibits each year. He’s been building it from plans for twenty years & it’s almost ready to steam.
One of our goldfish died today, we had nursed it back to health after a fungal infection earlier in the year but I think the trauma of us working in the pond & maybe the lower oxygen levels finished it off, we both felt quite sad.
