Ahoy there

Hoist the main sail! Etc.
A day in Aberdeen to see the Tall Ships - extended to an overnight stay.
We took an early train up north and hit the harbour to see the amazing ships. Some were available to board and tour round so we had a look on the Polish ship, one from Oman, and the French Belem (120 years old and looking good). Lots of folk out to enjoy the sites- we were lucky to get a VIP badge courtesy of a pal who has been the project manager for this amazing event. So we did jump a few queues (feeling slightly guilty), and relaxed in the VIP lounge.
The Red Arrows display was marred by a haar -so we just had a few glimpses as they zoomed by.
In the evening our stay was extended so we could go and see the Kaiser Chiefs. Good sounds, lots of energy but we only really knew a few of the songs so half an hour would have been fine!
A grand day out and many many steps.
