Connaught Water
Today was a busy one. Both of the Flower Fairies arrived before 8am and V had to be taken to school - our last ever drop off at her primary school which Mr MC did alone, while I looked after Stella-Rose.
Before lunch we took a walk around Connaught Water, which S-R loved! She wasn't afraid of any of the birds including the Canada geese which have a habit of following you in the hope of more food. Around the walk are some wooden mice,Brambly Hedge mice, in honour of author Jill Barklem who lived locally. The waterfowl babies seemed to have pretty well grown up now and the cygnets, whilst they still have their grey/brown coats were almost as big as their parents.
Later we all picked up Violet from school, our last primary school pick up ever, although tomorrow is her last day, a rather emotional occasion for Mr MC and myself, . See Extras for pics including a playground shot of V plus S-R and grandpa.
