Luck of the Draw

Well it wasn't really luck of the draw, but more of a blessing from the golf gods! I was playing terribly in my first round of the county amateur. I was 14 over par through 15 holes, I couldn't hit a fairway, and couldn't catch a break. Because I played well l last year in the tournament I was sent out in one of the earlier groups. I had only made it to the 16th hole when it began to downpour, and with all the rain we have had this summer it washed out the course, making it unplayable. So it was my lucky day. Instead of being cut after the first round, my score, along with all the other scores were wiped clear, and everyone starts at zero tomorrow.

I live to fight another day!
