Eye to Eye

The Grande Dente de Morcles …

… is one of my « pilgrimage mountains » that I try to do every year as you can see it from our house (extra taken last night, the peak on the right, 2,969 m). The main photo is one of the views of the Aiguille d’Argentière from the path. I finally saw two sleepy bouquetin on the ridge. Can you spot them? They’ve had a number of storms to contend with this week. I’d forgotten that going up from the Fenestral hut (extra with Mont Blanc Range), although shorter, is quite technical and exposed in two places. Maybe by next year I shall have to stay in the huts as doing summits, up and down, in one day requires anti-inflammatory treatment when I get home! My knees!
