Walking

I walked part of the way to Mum's this morning then caught the bus for the last couple of stops but only because I was going to be a bit late otherwise. There is a narrow time slot when it's good to visit Mum and that's to arrive between 11 and 11:30 then leave just before 12 as she has her lunch a few minutes before 12! Well she is heading for 97 years of age so she is entitled to be fussy.  I walked into town to the temporary bus stop and waited over 20minutes for the 89 bus which is supposed to be every 20 minutes, but is not.
On the way home I thought why is he in the wrong lane for our left turn and then realised it was because he was not going that way! I have no idea why he diverted but nobody had been informed about it. He stopped close to a bus stop on Prescot Road, seemingly to look at his diverted route so I grabbed the chance to disembark rather than end up somewhere I didn't want to with a long, uphill walk home!
I was somewhat peeved as the only ways home from there are all uphill so I rang Terry and begged a lift!
I have been putting off the dust removal in our living room for days (actually it could be a week) and was very pleased to find Terry had done it when I got home.
We need just a couple of items from a supermarket this afternoon (things that had been out of stock at Tesco) so Terry drove and I bobbed into the store for them.
I was at the checkout when the woman in front of me was chatting at length to the woman on the checkout and this conversation was going on and on so I moved up a bit closer in order to hasten the end so she moved a bit and said she'd wait there while "you serve her". They continued the conversation while I was there and where she was meant it was extremely awkward for me to position my trolley to put the items in (not a lot of items but some were heavy) so I was getting a bit naffed off and due to the awkward position I dropped one on the floor which annoyed me as it hurts my arthritic back to bend over so far! I am sure I am that grumpy old woman now!
I glanced at the next customer since she had a trolley and the obstruction woman was still obstructing and the look on the new woman's face was a picture as she was trying to place her trolley and looking pointedly at the obstruction fiend - she looked a lot grumpier than me so I felt better for this.
I thought about doing a bit more weeding this afternoon but couldn't face it so it will have to wait till Thursday at least as I'm out geocaching tomorrow.
Had a long phone conversation with my daughter this afternoon who is off to Orlando (Disney) tomorrow with her youngest, Sofia.
