Are cats more intelligent than dogs?
Recently Leo exhibited behaviour suggesting he watches ,learns and plots his revenge.
Well, that is ridiculous, I thought. He is only a cat. He can’t be that intelligent .
Not so, I have discovered, a cat has the intelligence of a two year old.
I tried to cut down his food from five pouches a day plus biscuits only to find the remains of a mouse next to his food bowl.
The other night I kicked him out of our bedroom only to step on a decapitated mouse outside the bedroom door in the morning.
Anyway, I did a bit of research and discovered cats have a different kind of intelligence to a dog.
This is what AI had to say::
“Cats possess a good level of intelligence, comparable to that of a 2-year-old human in some aspects. They exhibit impressive problem-solving skills, learning abilities, and memory capabilities. While they may not be as overtly trainable as dogs, cats display a unique form of intelligence rooted in their independence, observational learning, and ability to adapt to their environment.”
The big test is whether cats or dogs could survive without humans. Cats can, dogs can’t.
