Wotton House

This is an amazing property in the heart of the Chilterns not usually open to view - I think it has public access one afternoon a week during the summer.  Wonderfully spacious parkland grounds and an extremely interesting house interior (mostly not publicly available). I had arranged for a camera club visit as part of our summer programme - about 15 members ventured out into central Bucks (most probably thought they were going to fall over 'the rim' ) and we had a super evening. Light was very flat but the place magnificent.  
We were there several hours (including a drinksy get together at the end) so able to chat to other club members as well as the incredible Mick and his wife Sarah, who effectively run the place. 
Of note: Tony Blair and family own the house next door (very high security!!!)
Many trees in the masses of woodland are soooo old - one at least reckoned to be 1200 years!
So, a fantastic evening all round.
