River Wey

Today I met my friend Jan in Godalming and we had a lovely walk by the River Wey with her daughter's beagle, Barney. He was a very good boy until we stopped for lunch when he slipped his collar and ran off. Jan found him very quickly but he knew he could slip it again so we finished quickly and made our way back to the car. En route, Barney decided on a dip in the river and so we had to haul him out without him slipping the collar again. We had to laugh at what started out as a leisurely stroll, but ended up as a stressful, wet rescue. :-)
