Another Mushroom

Aha - I did find another mushroom. Welcome to Fungus Finder …. :-)

Walked in the woods this morning and found this monster growing out of a hole in the end of a rotting tree trunk. The base of the cap is approx 3 inches (7cm) in diameter! and the cap is approx the same height.. I measured it  roughly against the end of my phone, which I then measured when I got home. I really like the frilly texture on the cap and the little face at the top :-)

Wonder if it will last and how much bigger it will get - I may need to revisit :-)

I have no idea what variety it is…
