Lily Pond

Today we had a visit from J the daughter of Mrs AMK’s cousin with whom we are staying in West Newton , Boston.
We have fond memories of our October visits to Boston when J and her siblings were just children .

We started with a visit to the local gas station to fill up my hire car - very useful to have help using a different system of using petrol pumps from those at home. ! 

W e then drove to a Native Plant Trust garden called Garden in the Woods  at Framingham and enjoyed a one mile trail before settling off to the much larger Mass Audubon Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary at Natick. It was here that the blip was taken as we enjoyed lovely trails over boardwalks and through woodland areas. I was impressed with the construction seen in the extra in an area designed for younger visitors.

This driving was very useful getting me reacquainted with driving on the opposite side of the road and also with a very high tech new Mercedes SUV. I would love to take it home ! 
J helped set up the navigation system with my iPhone for our 3 day trip up the Maine Coast tomorrow- something I certainly can’t do on my fairly ancient Volvo where I just have the phone clipped on the dashboard.

Altogether a delightful day and the weather could not have been better.
