Close encounters of the red kind

We were in Central Milton Keynes this morning and by happy chance we get a call from Rose, saying she’s coming into CMK and can we meet for lunch?  

We’d arranged to go and see the Luke Jerram artwork - Mars - which was on display in the church in CMK.  So as well as lunch, Rose gets an unexpected encounter with the red planet.

It’s quite something to see - and incredibly moving.  

We saw his installation of planet Earth in 2021 in the main shopping centre (see extra).  When Australia came around we waved to Mollymay.  Somehow she didn’t seem quite so far away.

It’s part of Milton Keynes International Festival 2025 - it’s on until July 27th if you’re in the area.  Lots to see and do for all ages.
