Hallgrimskirkja

Up ludicrously early and at a mobbed Edinburgh airport just after 4am.

In Reykjavik by 8am local time, and checked into the, very nice, hotel by 9am.

After a leisurely breakfast at an excellent bakery, we wandered through the city taking in the rather striking Hallgrimskirkja, a couple of art galleries, a lot of shops, and a fine food hall for lunch.

After regrouping at the hotel, we’ll be heading out for dinner and a few beers.

I’m liking Iceland so far.
