Grá
The Irish word for love and also the title of the current exhibition in Uillinn, the West Cork Arts Centre in Skibbereen. The exhibition is a celebration of love in all its forms, pieces on loan from the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork (currently being revamped) on the ground floor and other response pieces created by the Salt & Pepper LGBTQI+ Collective. My blip is one of their pieces, made of torn pages from a 1746 Scottish bible, each imprinted with an image of a body part chosen by each of 42 lesbians invited to offer a piece of themselves. The images also contain hand-painted apples, a reference to Eve and the sacred fruit.
