Go on, we encyst!

Today we were taking unionid mussel larvae to meet their salmon fish hosts in a bucket to help them to have better juvenile survival. The sharp- eyed among you will notice an eel there as well. The eel moves fast and keeps the larvae in suspension.

P.S. this doesn't hurt the fish, it is to help an endangered species!
