Trixie's Adventures

Poorly pooch!!!

Today we did our 78th 'I Walk Cornwall' walk. We walked from Watergate Bay to Newquay and it was a lovely walk for me. I was all happy & bouncy. However.................. we had to get the bus from Newquay to Watergate Bay, to start our walk, and on the route from the car park to the bus station, I had two really 'runny poos'. I know, I know, far too much info??!! My poos first thing in the morning had been normal.

After that, Ann was a bit worried about taking me on the bus, but as it was only a 15 min journey she thought I'd be OK. The traffic was horrendous because it is holiday season, so the journey from Newquay to Watergate Bay actually took us half an hour, but I was fine. I just lay down in the bus in good dog mode.

Our walk was amazing. It was such a lovely sunny day. We walked along the coast path from Watergate Bay to Porth and then from Porth to Newquay, where I had to go back on my lead to walk through the town back to the car park where our car was.

Just before we went back to the car, we shared a pasty OK, I only got the teeniest weeniest bit, and a bottle of water. Lol!

When we got home, I got taken into the field for toileting purposes about 4pm-ish and then do you know what happened at about 5pm-ish?................... I started making really silly little squeaky noises and then I ran to the front door. Obviously Ann knew that wasn't my normal behaviour so she took me out again and I had a big splodge of diarrhoea I know, I know. TMI.

I'm fast asleep now, but I haven't eaten much today. It's a lovely sunny evening. Ann is just about to pour herself a glass of wine and go and sit outside. …...............I'm fast asleep.

This hot weather is definitely affecting us doggies. Ann has two friends, who have doggies that have been ill in the last week.

…................On the other hand.................... I did demolish a rather large doggie ice cream yesterday so that could be the culprit. #whoknows
