Bluebird’s Marker

Donald Campbell’s Bluebird returned to Glenridding today, 70 years after his water speed record of 203.32 mph on Ullswater on 23rd July 1955. 

Markers of the original mile were placed on the lake to commemorate.  I couldn’t quite swim that far, but you can just about see the one of the buoys.
