Singing in the rain.

During the night yesterday in a couple of short burst we had 40mm of rain and during the afternoon today came another 20mm. Water well needed but all the long grass is now lying down, I will soon have to cut it with the scythe if it's possible, maybe I have to use a trimmer.

Of course the main event for me today was the café gig at lunchtime for the elderly. First a short worship in the chapel, lead by the priest, where I played a short piece, and afterwards coffee and sandwiches for the small crowd of 28 people, mostly women. After that I played for about half an hour, seven or eight songs, mostly summer music from our common youth, most of the audience were a little older than me. I had arranged a sheet of paper with some lyrics to sing along to and we had a lovely time singing the well known tunes.
Pleased after a fine moment of togetherness. My next gig isn't until first of October, so plenty of time to prepare.
