Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Running slow!

We got up at horrible o'clock clock this morning for our 6am flight to Malta. Apart from not sleeping, all went smoothly and we were here slightly ahead of schedule at 11am Local time. It's hot! High thirties most of today, but that's cooler than the last couple of days and temperatures are slowly going down a few days over the rest of this week. That suits is just fine.
After getting organized we spent the afternoon and evening wandering around the streets of Valleta enjoying the sights and sounds. Our favorite wine bar has closed which is sad but there are many others .
The blip shows the clock on St John's co-cathedral, you may notice it's a day behind.
Other images are the fountain of Triton at the entrance to the city, some of the streets going straight to the sea from the town centre ignoring any hills - many of the streets are very steep .
The extra shows the flowers and wine left for us as a gift from the hotel for our anniversary which is on Saturday.
