Artist Andrade, of Olinda

Yesterday, when we went up to the top building to fetch the old bed frame for Mike to make a gate, I rediscovered a couple of works of art that we bought from the artist, L Andrade, of Olinda in Brazil. He collects old windows and doors from houses being done up, and carves into the frames. We'd hauled them here to put up in our new house, but as that is unlikely to happen now, decided to do them up and use here, now. So that's what I've been doing on and off today - the other one is done; this one still needs a bit of paint, and the top mirror replacing.

Gratefuls:
- a cool day, the high today was 30C, didn't need the air con at all; meant to shoot up tomorrow
- a lovely visit from Netty, and unhurried time to chat
- getting bedding washed, house mopped, and so on (a sign that more visitors expected!)
