The Rose . . . Bette Midler

No roses in my bouquet but we have finished weeding the rose bed.  I can start prunning tomorrow.  This morning Pete surprised me with this bright bouquet.  Amanda has been away and we have invited him for several dinners.   We enjoy his company and the flowers are unneccessary but I do love getting flowers.  I will enjoy seeing that purple Dutch Iris open and the lillies.  The greenery is a selection of New Zealand native plants which I think is cool.
