Growth spurt

Planted in a raised bed far too late in the year, last Sunday, the runner beans had an overnight growth spurt, presumably enabled by the recent warm weather and rain last evening and overnight. When we left the house yesterday morning, half a dozen shoots were just about showing through the soil. This morning they're about 10cm high! Amazing!
