On the balcony

My trailing geraniums are now doing really well…I have three lots on my balcony. This year I have red instead of the pink I’ve had for many years.

Daughter in law and grandson left about 9.30 so then tidied up and trimmed climber sober the garage before the rain showers.

This afternoon I went to a craft group in Whitton called Whitton Woolies which I saw advertised on the weekly Richmond email. I didn’t know what to expect other than they were preparing things to decorate Twickenham and Whitton for the Women’s World Rugby Cup competition which is starting in August. They meet at a community centre I had not been to before and the leaders were really friendly. They are making lots of knitted and crocheted roses ( red rose of England) and will be suing then in various ways on postboxes, round lamp post and various types of bunting too. I sewed some onto some gauze and May go again next week if free.

No about to go to meet a friend and go to Richmond to the theatre this evening to see Anne Reid and Caroline Quentin in a new play - Royal Appointment- which has had excellent reviews. Anne Reid plays Queen Elizabeth II.
