Birds and Blooms

... pretty much describes my day...Add in a little knitting and reading and a lot of watering the garden and that was Wednesday! Another hot, hot day and by the looks of the weather forecast, it looks like the whole month of July will have been a sizzler. 

Bad news on the bird front...more grackles, a red-winged blackbird (extra)  and two rats. I may have to remove the feeders for the summer...which is a real disappointment, but I can see why undesirable rodents might be attracted them. My neighbour Mark has tried trapping them but that hasn't solved the problem and one can't put our poison as we have pets and squirrels and chipmunks and rabbits. It is a puzzle.
