A fruitful day…Zumba, cuppa and a walk along the prom this morning with the girls. It was a warm, muggy one so once home I had a rest! After some lunch I made a quiche to keep the wolves from the door for a day or two before heading into the garden. Plan of attack to clean out the area in front of the fence between mine and the neighbours back garden…spent most of the afternoon rueing the day I’d started but ‘tis finished! Goodness knows how much gravel and builders rubble I dug out but I quickly filled a 30ltr bin, and I carted several half bags of it across the road to dump over the wall…also one third filled each of the planters. Had to move all my pots to access the sand pit so I could level everything out before putting the planters in place and finishing off with crushed shells (which gave me my blip). Three hours later I headed indoors tired and hungry…and decidedly grubby! I did enjoy my quiche with a hastily put together salad though. The pots are still all over the place as I’ve decided to get rid of the sand pit…so chaos reigns still.
Extras:
On Manoeuvres…HMS Queen Elisabeth has spent some time this week off shore, a rib headed into the docks just before this was taken so someone was probably being picked up or dropped off…either that or they’d run out of milk!
The results of this afternoons endeavours.
Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday.
