Vehicle woes

Driving the van back when suddenly she started whirring and ground to a halt. I have a horrible suspicion that the timing belt went. Hoping it didn't wreck my engine.  
Tomorrow I take my car to the garage to have its fault diagnosed and hopefully motd! Oh the joys!
