Our first passenger today was a hoot. She has a keen wit and delivers it with a deliciously dark sense of humour. I chuckled my way around the route. This is a lady who should be on the comedy circuit not stuck in a care home.

Earlier, a John Lewis person phoned and waffled unintelligible nonsense at me. None of it involved promising our missing chair legs will arrive any time soon. Sigh.
