Forget the 10,000 steps a day ...
This is welcome news . The latest research published in the Lancet Public Health says you only need 7,000 steps to gain major health benefits after that it plateaus out.
For those of us who struggle to reach 6,000 a day this is welcome news. I mention this to my neighbour a nurse in our local hospice. She tells me that on some days she can walk 20,000 -25,000 steps.
We always knew nurses were run off their feet.
Do you keep track of your steps?
