Siren's Curse

We got up early and made the 4.5-hour drive to Cedar Point. It's got two new roller coasters for us: Top Thrill 2 and Siren's Curse. Top Thrill 2 technically opened last year but only operated for 4 days. There apparently was some kind of issues with the trains, so it was shut down. It's much more reliable this year.

Siren's Curse is a true new-for-2025 coaster. It's a tilt coaster. As you can see in the photo, this section of track tilts 90 degrees forward and releases the train when it aligns with the drop track. We were seated in the middle row. It's really fun and is smooth. It's one of the best coasters the park has added in years.

Top Thrill 2 (see extras) also was fun. It's a revamp of Top Thrill Dragster, which opened in 2003. It features a triple launch (forward, backward, forward). The rear tower is the photo in extras. It's 420 feet tall (128 meters) but the train only goes around 350 feet (106 meters) up it before falling down and leveling off into the third launch. That launch takes it up and over the original 420-foot tower, straight down a 27-degree spiral, and into the brakes.

Siren's Curse was my 458th coaster, and TT2 was my 459th.
