Mushroom Update

A couple of days ago I blipped a rather fab mushroom growing out of the end of a rotting trunk.

Today I went back to the woods to check up on it - and, lo and behold, it has ‘mushroomed’ into this rather fabulous specimen.

The open cap is now approx 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter.

I had to use my little LED panel to boost the light as it was still quite dark in the woods even at 06:30!
