Flower Friday

I put my long lens on and popped into the garden to take my blip for BikerBear's FF challenge, and spent some time photographing a fuchsia. Having got the shot I wanted I then spotted that our not-very-healthy buddleia* has actually come into flower at last, and what's more there was a butterfly on it. If I'd had more time I'd have switched to a smaller aperture to get more depth of field, but all I got was a couple of grab shots before the butterfly got sick of the paparazzi and scarpered. However the buddleia shot took blip precedence over the fuchsia today.

(* I actually have buddleia envy as one of our neighbours has an enormous, healthy specimen - but its flowers are now fading.)
