Health & Beauty
A dry day today, so I did a bit of gardening this morning, pruning one of the shrub below the deck to give some more space to our secondary bird-table. I'll have to climb the bank sometime to prune the stems down to the ground, but not today.
I'd arranged to meet up with a fellow Keep Oban Beautiful committee member at 2pm to pay a visit to the local hospital. There are a couple of 'courtyard' spaces between the buildings which were planted up when the hospital was built in 1995 but which are looking rather shabby now - my Blip and extra today. The man who looked after them was made redundant some while ago, and he came back for a while as a volunteer, but now there's not much maintenance done. We met with a member of management staff and had a good chat - we more or less agreed that KOB would bring a small team in to look after these spaces, so my next job is to see if I can summon up enough enthusiasm from our followers to take this on. There are some lovely shrubs and trees there, but a little sorting and tidying is needed to bring the spaces back to look good again.
