Flower (and blue dragonfly) Friday!

Before you get your magnifying glasses out and question your eyesight, no there is no blue dragonfly in the main pic. But there is in the extras.

I went for a walk today that I haven't done for 2 years. It goes a long way through some woodland, onto the tidal part of the River Lune, and along the quay and past the football ground and home.

And discovered how unfit I have become! I was absolutely worn out by it. Checking the map, it's only 5.3 miles (around 8 Km) which I am sure was a doddle not too long ago, but clearly was not today.

Still, I enjoyed it. The tide was in on the river, and I got to walk alongside it, breathing the sea air, and just enjoying this bit of  nature before back to the concrete and petrol fumes I came.

I rarely get shots of insects like the dragonfly, as I use old glass (so manual focus) and the screen on this camera is not very good. But this kind lady stayed put for quite a while, patiently posing for me as I twisted my lens and squinted at the image on the camera back,

No idea what the flower is, btw. But it looked nice and I've never photographed it before so it had to be Blipped.
