Our Sherpa Friends …

… Pema and Lobsang, 3 times Everest summiteers till their wives said, « No more! » are visiting again this weekend. They got soaked at work repairing one of the paths in the Diablerets Glacier system today but, as they were coming to us after work, they had taken a change of clothes with them. They are amazing guests, helping to set the table, insisting on doing all the washing up, just generally being happy and relaxed, and enjoying raclette again! It’s hard to be away from home for four months but WhatsApp has transformed that experience for them. One good thing about technology… such a difference since they first came to Switzerland in 2007. Pema, on the left, will be our guide in October. It’s such a relief to know how well we shall be looked after.
