The Swan Family

Late this afternoon we met up with 25 members of Winchester GoLD at the bus station to take a short bus ride to St Cross . There we collected our pre ordered chippy suppers from the friendly fish & chip shop, which we ate in the nearby ( now very dry!)water meadows, before walking back to Winchester beside the river Itchen.
The Swan family and later some young ducklings were popular sights along the way.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the sociable evening. Some of our group have physical disabilities as well as learning disabilities, so although  the walk was barely a mile long,  it was quite an achievement for them.
