Baltic Cruise Day Six - Tallin

Had such a fun time last night - there was a chocolate and cocktail extravaganza on! I had two (or was three) Toblerone cocktails. And many macaroons and chocolate balls. But best of all, we met a couple of Aussies! So far, the only Aussie we’ve met has been the Head Chef!

The Baltic was like a mill pond last night. A midday arrival in Tallin today meant that they put on an amazing three hour breakfast/brunch. The displays were amazing.

We had an afternoon trip into Tallin. We had a very good guide, and, as always, the history and the family history were fascinating. We had a walk round the upper old town, and free time was a walk down to the lower town, which I think was more touristy and picturesque, and more what we were expecting, but it meant finding the shuttle bus back to the ship, and by this time I was stuffed.

Off for a meal in our favourite restaurant, where we had a good chat with our neighbours who have cruised just about everywhere in the world. Except Scotland… They feed their dog caviar. We then went along to the young woman singing opera favourites Then caught up with our Aussie friends and agreed to have dinner together tomorrow.

Very tired. Both of us were nodding off on the bus ride… the pace is catching up with us…
