Protesting

I was working at home today and just after lunch there was a police helicopter hovering nearby and the sound of sirens. Turns out a group of Greenpeace protesters have absailed off the Forth Road Bridge and are suspended on wires above the deep water channel of the Forth. Their purpose? To stop and protest a tanker carrying fracking gas up the Forth to Grangemouth. Apparently they've successfully stopped large vessels going under the bridge and plan to stay there for 24 hours.

After I finished work I walked down to the harbour to take a look and they were indeed there. I counted 10 in total, suspended under red flags. I didn't have the right lens with me so the blip is a little distant, but you can still them, suspended below the bridge under their red flags. I do admire their bravery and they've certainly made their point. A little more drama here than we're used to!
