Ready for quilting

After all the weeding yesterday, I had decided I needed a slightly easier day.  Not that I didn't work for my living.  Whilst W went off to gardening club I did a load of washing and hung it out.  Then I gave the dishwasher a really thorough spring clean - it's not been doing a very satisfactory job of the washing up.  I pulled all the bits out and cleaned them - they were remarkably greasy, given that we eat very little greasy food.  We wait to see what the next load looks like.  If it's still unsatisfactory, we may have to look into getting a replacement - we have no idea how old this one is - it came with the house.

Then I did some sewing.  The folded stars are attached.  The buttons sewn on.  The backing pinned on.  It just awaits hand quilting.

And I did some fluting.

W made a lovely lentil and sweet potato dish for dinner.
