Pitching

We left home early to go to Hayling Island to play pitch and putt. The weather was perfect - calm and warm. The course runs alongside the beach and so as you play there is a view across The Solent to the Isle of Wight. It makes for a relaxing and interesting setting for playing.

Afterwards we drove through heavy traffic to The Kennels at Goodwood to have a celebratory birthday lunch for my sister, then returned home through even heavier traffic. It turned out to be a warm afternoon (26 degrees) so we sat in the garden and chatted. My nephew wanted the table tennis table set up so we rolled it out of the garage onto the patio so he could play a few games.

After dinner we had an evening stroll. It was pleasantly cool by then. I spotted this old ambulance which has been converted in to a camper van set up for the night.
