The Raised Platform

An afternoon walk with Arlo at Currie Woods where they have partly replaced on of the raised walkways over a boggy area. The woods are managed by the Woodland Trust and every few months they've been replacing or extending the walkways. Last time I was here there were a pile of posts and boards nearby awaiting fitting and I remember thinking about how far they must have been carried uphill. I do love these walkways, it reminds me of trestle bridges for railroads across the pond... well... across rivers, not ponds, but across the pond... ya get me?
