Schooner trip

This morning after breakfast I headed down to Camden harbour to join the old schooner Surprise for a trip out into the bay and beyond.

There was a lot of activity as there were some very fancy boats in Camden for. 3 day racing event and we sailed out towards where they were gathering for the first race.

After 2 hours on the Surprise,  built in 1918, I now know  a lot more about sailing, racing, carbon fibre sails , schooners and yachts etc but that wouldn’t be difficult as I started off knowing very little. !
